Around 1954, almost ten years after the birth of the ref. 4467, replica Rolex introduces a new variant of the Datejust. Characterized by the ref. 6309, the new model differs only for the particular swivel graduated ring, similar to that used on rare Rolex Turn-O-Graph 6202 De Luxe. The bezel is composed of two distinct elements, a ring nut-holder from the edge knurled to ensure a better grip and a specific graduated insert positioned inside.
Even in this case, its function is to measure those intervals of time that do not require the accuracy of a chronograph, as can be the duration of a telephone conversation.
Unlike the standard Datejust, Rolex Turn-O-Graph is not available in all-steel version: it is made only in gold (yellow and pink, 18kt or 14kt depending on market) or in the combination steel / gold, a feature which will be maintained throughout the production period of the model through its many evolutions.
All other details, including the dial and game-spheres, are the same used on Datejust era, from which the Rolex Turn-O-Graph also inherits the movement cal. A296.
The new Replica Rolex Turn-O-Graph 6309 is adopted as the official watch by the acrobatic squadron Thunderbird, belonging the US Air Force, from which it inherits the name.
This name immediately is enjoying success, appearing even on some catalogs and official publications Rolex.

In 1956, after only two years of production, ref. 6309 is replaced by the Turn-O-Graph 6609 model, equipped with the most modern cal. 1065.
Much like its predecessor, however, it presents a different profile from the bottom: no longer flat but slightly domed, characterized by etching concentric circles.
The use of the new movement involves a change in the level of the dial, which features the flared edge (defined pie-pan) and is devoid of mounting feet, as on contemporary replica Rolex Datejust ref. 6604/6605.
Indices and game-balls are characterized by a pleasant design typically 50s.
The window of the calendar presents an applied frame and the date disc alternates red and blacks numbers.

With the advent of the ’60s, at the same time the introduction of new Rolex Datejust (16xx series), the ref. 6609 gives way to the new Turn-O-Graph 1625, animated by new calibres 1565 and 1575.
The first units are still special indexes and hands similar to the 50’s models, which will soon be replaced by more simple indexes and game-ball “to stick”.
The dial is a pie-pan type, this time with fastening pins. It is in essence the first Rolex Turn-O-Graph “modern”, which remains in production for about fifteen years.

In 1977 even the Turn-O-Graph benefits from the new caliber 3035 with instantaneous date jump mechanism and conforms to the new Rolex replica references to five digits, the last of which indicates the metal they are made case and bezel.
As was done for other models the full gold version already features the sapphire crystal.
Following the pattern of variations available:

16250 stainless steel case / white gold bezel
16253 stainless steel case / ring in yellow gold
16258 Cash and ring made of yellow gold

The dial abandons the classic flaring perimeter and is perfectly flat.
Even the ring is subjected to a decisive restyling: it is now slightly wider while the numbers and indexes are larger in size, characterized by a square profile.
With this configuration remains in the catalog until 1988 or so, when it is replaced by the new model with sapphire crystal.
